Remembrance Day is held on the 11th November every year.
World War One, or the Great War, ran from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918.
At 11am on 11 November 1918, Germany signed the armistice agreement, bringing an end to the war.
Remembrance services are also normally held at 11am.
It is estimated that about 20 million died during this war, with about half of that number being civilians.
A similar number were wounded.
