Tomorrow, When the War Began

This story, “Tomorrow, When the War Began”, tracks a group of high school students from the small town of Wirrawee who go on a week-long camping trip, and the vents that follow.

When Ellie and her high school student friends go on a week-long camping trip, they have no idea they’re leaving their old lives behind forever.

After the weeks camping, and on their return home, they find their houses empty, their pets starving and no-one to be seen, the town is eerily silent.

Before long, they realize the country has been invaded, and the entire town has been captured, including their families and all their friends.

Ellie and the other survivors face an impossible decision: Do they flee for the mountains? Do they surrender ? or do they fight ?
