Much appreciated admin! I think we’ll buy one of those. It’s been very useful chatting on this site, thanks
Elly
From my recent knowledge of digital recording from TV’s (learnt from having a few PVR’s) I am pretty sure it comes down to the availability of the number of channels a TV or Set Top Box has.
TV’s at the moment can only accept one channel input at one time, and no matter how many USB’s were connected, they could only record the info that the TV receives.
Following the developments with some of the more expensive PVR’s being able to record more than one channel at a time, within each channel group, eg (7=7,71,72,73), Newer single channel TV’s MAY be able to do what you want at some stage.
I have had a quick look, but can’t find anything at the moment.
I did just find what I think is the cheapest Twin Tuner HD Digital Set-top Box with PVR around. Only $89.
This wording seems to clarify your point: With two built-in HD Digital TV tuners you now have the option to record two channels at the same time or record one channel and watch another at the same time.

Thanks admin. Yes that happened to me too. You do get a message saying something like: switching channels will stop recording. I was just hoping that some clever person would know a way around that. Could you do it by connecting a second usb stick?
We bought this tv a while ago and are very happy with it. We only would like to switch channels while recording. Is there a way this could be possible? Thanks
I do not think there will be. You would need a two channel PVR for that.
Be careful with your current setup. I was recording something once, and my wife wanted to watch something else while I was in another room. She changed channel OK, but it stopped my recording.
I also have issues with the colour. the picture contrast is too dark and the colours especially green are too vivid. I have tried to adjust the settings under personal then menu btu it still doesn’t make a good natural picture, faces of people are too pink. I have colur turned down to 15.
Should I take it back? and will the others be the same?
the picture is too dark, it says to go to picture mode & the personal setting will allow you to adjust colour, brightness & contrast but when i press personal setting none of these come up, so how can i change them
I bought a 23″ Bauhn TV form Aldi on 29 April 2011, and from time to time the sound has been dropping out for a second each time. Is anyone else having this problem? Not sure if I should take it back before the 60 days is up.
No the TV does not have standard wall mount option (ie. no screws in the back for a wall brakcet). If you we really keen you could make a custom adaptor to connect the TV to a standard wall mount. Great value TV though.
I am not sure if this model can be wall mounted. The pictures I have seen do not seem to show any screw holes in the back of the TV for a mounting bracket. Nor is there any mention if this.
ALDI also do not have a wall bracket in this weeks catalogue, with this TV. From memory, they normally do when they have TV’s that are wall mountable.
In regards to the 23″ LED LCD if I have movies already on a USB will the TV be able to support the files and play on the TV?
Thanks
David
