What is known about Palestinians in Gaza?
1970 “Black September”, Palestinians attempted to take over the Jordanian state. That ended up with the Jordanian Army shelling Palestinian Refugee camps from which the takeover attempt had been launched. Jordan later expelled the Palestinian leadership and all its military and political infrastructure.
In 1991 Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, the Palestinian Liberation Army backed Saddam and Palestinians everywhere demonstrated in favour of the invasion. That ended up with large numbers of Palestinians being expelled from the Gulf States.
Egypt frequently closes the Gaza crossing into Egypt, and operates security every bit as tight as Israel’s. This is because of Hamas’s support for Islamist insurgents in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.
Most of the Arab world has a severe distrust of the Palestinians.
