Canada: Official Bank Rates


The official Bank Rate in Canada hit an all time low in the months April 2009 through to May 2010 with a rate of 0.5%

It had risen slightly by December 2012, with a rate of 1.25%

The December rates for the years from 2000 have been:

6.00% 2000
2.50% 2001
3.00% 2002
3.00% 2003
2.75% 2004
3.50% 2005
4.50% 2006
4.50% 2007
1.75% 2008
0.50% 2009
1.25% 2010
1.25% 2011
1.25% 2012
