Japanese officials quarantined the Diamond Princess cruise ship early in February 2020.
The Diamond Princess cruise ship passengers, that tested negative for the COVID-19 coronavirus, began to disembark on 19th February 2020, after completing their 14-day quarantine period. Some other passengers had been hospitalised, with some of these later dying. Most of those that tested negative were able to return to their home countries.
