F-16 Training for Ukraine.
A coalition of 11 nations will start training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets in August 2023.
Both Denmark and Romania will be involved in the locations for training.
The F-16 is an American single-engine supersonic multi-role fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force. Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft.
The F-16 is used by the air forces of 25 other nations.

The numbers being pledged to Ukraine are currently:
42 F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands.
19 F-16 fighter jets from Denmark.
In June 2023, Nato’s secretary general revealed that Ukrainian fighter pilots are already being trained to fly F-16 jets.
They should be fully trained before the end of 2023.
The United States has given its approval for the Netherlands and Denmark to deliver F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
In July 2023, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and the United Kingdom pledged to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16s.
Denmark will be ready to hand over some of its F-16s after receiving their new F-35 jet fighters. They are expecting to receive the first of these F-35s in October 2023.
